the bapchilds

The Bapchilds play Honky Tonk, the music played for dancing in Honky Tonk joints.

The music is ‘feel good’ and gets inspiration from Classic Country stars like Hank Williams or Western Swing Stars like Bob Wills . This is the music Elvis Presley grew up listening to. They are a 4 piece from Sheffield with fiery fiddle, luscious lap steel, dynamic double bass and gorgeous guitar, topped with barn-storming backing vocals behind the voice of an angel.

They have recently been discovered by Andy Kershaw and appeared live on his podcast ‘Andy Kershaw Plays Some Bloody Good Records’ – check it out!
